New site: Milklink.com

1 July, 01:34 pm

We’ve just finished and launched a new site that I’m really pleased with. Milklink.com is the corporate site of Milk Link—”UK’s most progressive integrated dairy business“—a huge company that ultimately supplies a lot of the dairy products in all the main supermarkets. They have the capability to process 1.3 BILLION (!) litres of milk.

My roles were started with the early conceptual designs for the site and continued through the project to the build stage as front-end developer, with Colin McClure—one of our senior developers—doing all the clever server-side .NET stuff. There are few odds and ends to tidy up over the next week or two, but we think the site turned out well and it seems Milk Link do too:

“Just a quick message of thanks for the Herculean efforts you’ve all put in to making the new Milklink.com website a reality. ...

“The Board praised the sites clean look and ease of use, heralding it as a significant enhancement to the Milk Link brand.” Mark Parkinson, Web Services Manager, Milk Link.

The new site will allow Milk Link to improve their communication channels to their partners, customer and members, while allow them to demonstrate the huge scale of their business. Check the site out at www.milklink.com

ps. Websites are ultimately about their content, and a big amount of credit must go to Mark Parkinson for the quality of his content entry, and he did a great job of filling out the website in a short space of time.
